Annie Minogue To Be Featured On MTV
Soundartist Artist

Soundartist recently caught up with Annie Minogue, a powerful New York-based vocalist who will soon be featured on MTV's popular Real World series. "The MTV Real World experience has been amazing so far and my music hasn't even been featured yet!" said Annie. The Manhattan episodes (which her songs will be featured in) won't start to air until June. "The publicity has been staggering. The funniest thing about this is that the entire opportunity fell into my lap unexpectedly. I didn't submit or pitch anything to anyone," she said.

The show's Music Supervisor, Wilson Yau, found her on a site over the Internet, liked what he heard and called her up. "Everyone has been so incredibly supportive since this has happened, especially Soundartist.com. They believe in good music and helping the talented," Annie said. "I'm hoping that having my songs featured on MTV's Real World will help bring my career to the next level. In the meantime, I'm continuing to tour, write songs and do what I love to do...music. That's what it's all about anyway."

Annie, who featured in the Soundartist newsletter (October 7, 2000) and has songs on the site, is the former lead vocalist for SPV Recording Artist, Ghost Of A God, with whom she toured in America and Europe. GOAG's 1998 album has earned extensive radio-play on 150 U.S. college stations and throughout Europe. The album was produced by Leif Mases, who is credited for having worked with Led Zeppelin and Jeff Beck. The album was also recently released in Japan on the Nippon Crown label.

Annie's latest recordings were mixed by Peter Moshay (Mariah Carey, Hall & Oates and Jennifer Lopez) and  mastered by George Marino (Joan Osborne, The Black Crowes, Led Zeppelin and Guns N' Roses).

Her new album, "HOME" has just been released on the Nippon Crown label in Japan and the song "Paper Doll" is being used as the theme song for Japan's national news program. Two of her songs, "Dry" and "Inside"  were chosen to appear in The Songwriter's Hall Of Fame showcase in 1998.

Annie has opened for recording artists Shawn Mullins, Amy Rigby, The Cowboy Junkies, Shane MacGowan, Chumbawamba, Paul Rogers (Bad Company) and Karla Bonoff.  She has performed in the Philadelphia Music Conference, The Intel Music Festival, The Digital Club Festival, The Viper Ball, PopKomm (Germany), The CMJ Festival, The EAT'M Festival, The Atlantis Music Conference, WFUV's Nightbirds Show at The Bottom Line in New York.
